Message for Clergy

For many years faith-based organizations have played major roles in society, delivering a variety of services to their congregations. One of their main roles is to unite a man and woman in matrimony. This responsibility has been part of their function for centuries.

Marriage promotion and education offered at faith based locations comprised a wide variety of programs, classes, materials, and counseling services. A unifying theme in faith-based programs is the incorporation of tenets of religious faith into their operating principles. Your program or curriculum may have been designed for couples of a specific religious faith or denomination or may be more generally based.

National Marriage Centers programs and curriculums can be easily adapted to the ideas and cultures of different faiths. It can be used by those practicing Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Unitarianism, Baha’i, Scientology, Humanists and others.

If you or any of your parishioners are currently trained in a relationship or marriage educational program that provides a similar curriculum to that of the Marriage Centers, you may use your curriculum in conjunction with ours, adopting those topics not included within your program.

Clergy who wish to become active in Marriage and Relationship Education but have had little or no formal training, the National Marriage Centers has developed a basic on-line course to adequately familiarize yourself with all of the core principals and concepts needed to begin Educating Couples and start conducting your classes.

The Marriage Centers program is unique. As an affiliate Educator you have complete control over what FEE your clients will pay. It can range from no fee at all ($.0.00) up to a maximum of $ 165.00 per couple. When you complete the online location of you class, you include the fee you wish to charge. You retain complete control of you educational outreach program.

Here are some sobering facts:

For the first time in history, less than half of U.S. households are headed by married couples. And on Sept. 29, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released data showing that almost 36 percent of all births are the result of unmarried childbearing, the highest percentage ever recorded.

American society is intensifying debate about how we should respond to this kind of news. Special interests groups are striving to make marriage more neutral by providing more rights and benefits to its alternatives. What can you do to defend marriage as you believe it to be?

The time has come to get involved and help defend marriage by promoting it. Become part of the Marriage Centers movement and help return marriage to its rightful place in our society. Marriage is and has always been the glue that has held our society together. Educating couples on how to have a happy, healthy and lifelong marriage will elevate marriage to its rightful place in society.

We encourage all clergy to participate in our nation wide program ensuring that couples wanting a religious approach to their class will have easy access to these courses.
